Dr. Xiaoru Wang, President of Xiamen Huaxia Vocational College and Vice Chairman of the Fujian Provincial Association for Science and Technology, received her Ph.D. in Chemistry from the University of Massachusetts and finalized her postdoctoral research at Xiamen University.
Dr. Wang worked as a professor of analytical chemistry and laboratory director at Xiamen University prior to acquiring her tenure as the university’s Vice President. She served as a member of the Eight National People’s Congress and currently holds positions as the deputy director of the National Oceanic 863, committee member to the Ministry of Education and Science and Technology committee.
Dr. Wang made outstanding achievements for her research on atomic spectroscopy and mass spectrometry. Throughout the course of her research, Wang published more than 200 articles on her findings and presided over a number of research projects instituted by the Science Foundation and National Natural Science Foundation of China. Her work was honored by the State Commission of Science and was awarded the Fujian Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award and National Natural Science Foundation Fund.
